Fashion style trends have become quite popular these days. Kurtas are the traditional Indian dress, worn by men and women alike. Nowadays, kurta sets with dupattas have been replaced by trendy t-shirts, jeans, etc. However, the trend remains strong. Women wear full-length dupattas, while men prefer kurtas with long shirts and churidars (long pants). A kurta and a dupatta go well together, giving the wearer a chic look.

Different types of Kurta sets

Kurtas are very popular these days, but the trend of wearing them with dupattas is quite old. Kurta Pant Set for Women is comfortable and looks good on women, especially if they have a slim figure. Kurtas are usually paired with jeans or trousers for office wear. In saris, the blouse is commonly worn along with long pants called leggings. These leggings are generally loose-fitting and have a hemline below the knee.

There are different kinds of kurtas, ranging from casual ones to formal ones. These vary according to the type of occasion that they are being worn for. Here are some of the most popular types of kurtas that can be worn at any time.

Cotton Kurta (casual): This is the typical basic kurta that is worn by almost every Indian man. Cotton kurtas are comfortable and can go well with any outfit. They are also great for summer wear, as cotton absorbs sweat and dries easily. In winter, these kurtas can even be layered under coats to keep you warm. But beware: cotton kurtas are not suitable for those who suffer from allergies.

Silk kurtas (formal): These are usually worn for special occasions, especially weddings. Silk kurtas are elegant and stylish. They are perfect for parties and social gatherings. Silk kurtas look good with suits and formal shirts. However, silk is expensive, and not everyone can afford it. People prefer wearing silk kurtas over cotton ones because of their softness and luxurious appearance.

Tie-Dye Kurta (Modal): Tie-dye kurtas are popular among youngsters today. This kind of kurta looks good with jeans and casual trousers. If you want to sport a trendy look, tie-dye kurtas are best suited. You can use various shades of colours to create unique patterns.

Leather Kurta (Luxury): Leather kurtas are ideal for people who love luxury. They are usually worn by rich businessmen or celebrities. Leather kurtas are stylish and elegant. You can pair leather kurtas with suits or pantsuits.

Plaid Kurta: Plaid kurtas are usually worn to parties and special events. They are similar to tie-dye kurtas in appearance. But unlike the tie-dye kurta, plaid kurtas are made out of woollen material.

Sweater Kurta: Sweaters are the best option if you want to stay cosy throughout the year. You can choose from both short-sleeve and long-sleeve sweater kurtas. Short-sleeve sweaters are best for summer, while long-sleeve sweaters can be worn in winter. Wearing them with chinos or other types of denim would give you a relaxed look.

Puffy-Sleeved Kurta: Puffed sleeves are usually seen on women’s kurtas but can also be worn by men. Women’s puffy-sleeved kurtas are great for parties and celebrations. Men’s puffy-sleeved kurtas are best for festive occasions like Diwali and Holi.
