The average American household spends $2,000 on energy each year.

Each year, the average American household spends $2,000 on energy. This amount increases as people’s incomes increase and use more energy-intensive items, like air conditioning and appliances. According to the study average American household uses more energy than any other country. So, to help reduce this cost, some tips for reducing your energy consumption are included below:

  • Reduce your energy use by unplugging your appliances when they’re not used. ˆ
  • Keep the thermostat set at 68 degrees or lower when you’re home and at 21 degrees or lower when you’re not home.
  • Use a programmable thermostat to score 68 degrees or lower at night and 21 degrees or lower during the day.

What to look for: Compare energy providers and reviews of different providers.

When selecting an energy provider, it’s important to do your research and compare rates. Here are some tips to help you make the best choice for your needs:

  1. Look at the company’s history. Is the company licensed and insured? It is important because a provider that isn’t licensed and doesn’t have insurance could be a risky choice.
  2. Consider the company’s customer service reputation. How responsive have they been in resolving issues or complaints? Is their customer service department available 24/7?
  3. Check out their pricing structure. Are they competitively priced compared to other providers in your area? Are there any hidden fees associated with their services?
  4. Also, consider how much electricity you use each month.

Tips for Saving Energy:

Like most people, you probably think of saving energy as something that only applies to big businesses and high-tech centers. But there are easy ways to save energy in your home, too–if only you knew about them. Here are six tips for becoming more energy-efficient:

1) Insulate your home: Buying an insulation kit is one way to reduce your energy bill, but even a small change like adding weather stripping around doors and windows can make a big difference.

2) Turn off appliances when they’re not in use: This will help conserve energy and save on your electricity bill. And if you have several appliances that use the same power outlet, invest in a power strip to turn them all off at once.
