Denver, Colorado is famous for many things: The Denver Broncos call it home; it’s 5,280 feet above sea level (exactly one mile), and it has 300 days of sunshine each year. And did you know that the city has the nation’s tenth-largest downtown area? Needless to say, Denver has a lot to offer.

Plan a wonderful trip to the city of Denver and book a cheap flight ticket to Denver.

1. Denver Botanic Gardens

The Denver Botanic Gardens is a must-see destination for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing walk. This beautiful oasis covers 24 acres and is with stunning sights such as sculptures, pools, and various garden types. Check out glass sculptor Dale Chihuly’s massive, spiky red-and-yellow piece titled “Colorado,” or Deborah Butterfield’s piece depicting a horse stripped bare. You can also buy some cute little trinkets at the gift shop.

2. Clifford Still Museum

The Clyfford Still Museum is right next to the much more popular Denver Art Museum, but it is worth a visit while you’re in Colorado. It contains over 3,200 pieces by Clyfford Still, a world-renowned abstract expressionist artist. This Colorado museum also provides valuable insight into how an art style can evolve and change over time. It is without a doubt one of the best things to do in Denver!

3. Craft Beer Tour

Craft beer is well-known in Denver. That is why, if you are in Denver this week, you must take a Craft Beer Tour. Head to downtown Denver for a two- or three-hour tour of how all that famous craft beer is made. There are many types of these tours, but the most popular include four stops.

4. Cheesman Park

Cheesman Park is in the heart of Denver and is very haunted. It is, in fact, one of the most haunted places in the country, not in Colorado. The 80-acre park has landscaped grounds and appears serene, but don’t be a fool if you visit today, tomorrow, or whenever! This plot of land was part of 320 acres used by Colorado City as a cemetery. At the time, the name was Mount Prospect. It may not be the most traditional of Denver attractions, but if you want to see the macabre and unusual, it is well worth a visit!

5. American Museum of Western Art

If you like history but don’t want to deal with crowded museums, the American Museum of Western Art is one of the best places to visit – in fact, you should go if you’re in the area. The building was in 1880 to house the Brinker Collegiate Institute, a female boarding school. After that, it was into a brothel, accessible via a secret underground tunnel. William Foxley purchased the building and spent a fortune converting it into the museum that exists today.

6. Union Station

Denver is rich in history because it was the epicentre of Colorado’s Gold Rush heyday. The century-old Union Station is now not only a living memorial to the city’s colourful past but also a functional public transit station in downtown Denver! Union Station also functions as a one-stop shop for entertainment and dining. If you have the time, staying the night at the station is one of the best things to do in Denver. If you haven’t had your fill of food yet, the renovated landmark has a plethora of shops and boutiques to peruse.

7. Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Spend an afternoon at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This magnificent structure houses a plethora of scientific exhibits that will delight anyone with an interest in the natural sciences. This museum is also easy to find, as many buses stop nearby. This fantastic museum is to the south if you went to the Denver Zoo earlier in the day! And here’s a fun fact: one of the most popular things to do in Denver is search for mythological creatures that should not be in a physical world museum.

Book a flight ticket to Denver and also enjoy your vacation in Denver.
